It is said that with age comes wisdom, and the little bit of wisdom that I have acquired in my life has brought me to the conclusion that people are rarely able to see the world as it truly is. It is the artists, writers, musicians, and image-makers that challenge us to question what we had previously thought to be true.
My endeavor with the human portrait has engaged me in the pursuit of developing a bond with my subjects as I photograph them. Transferring the feeling of genuine personal connection into a two dimensional image. As an artist I am interested in the creative link, either directly or indirectly, between the people I am photographing and myself. The medium of photography has become a tool for me to reflect on my own identity and explore personal feelings of current and past experiences. The results are images that are a vignette of who I am and how I see myself.
